Live Performances Of Raw Power

The live performances of Raw Power in the month of May in the year 2010 featured the lead singer Iggy Pop, along with Mike Watt who is the bassist for the reunited Stooges group, James Williamson, Mike Watt, Scott Asheton and Steve Mackay. In this Raw Power live performance, all the artistes performed the Raw Power album, compositions in its entirety as part of the All Tomorrow's Parties hosted Don't Look Back series. Just to mention here that the ‘All Tomorrow's Parties’ where the live performance of Raw Power took place is a well known musical festival that happens in Britain at Camber Sands holiday camp in the East Sussex and Butlin's holiday camp in Minehead, Somerset, England.

Also, Don't Look Back is basically an yearly series of musical especially rock concerts that take place in England and in which London based promoters All Tomorrow's Parties bring various artists and bands to play one of their seminal albums live in its entirety. The live performances of Raw Power by the reunited Stooges band were also a part of this concert.

Prior to this live performance of Raw Power in England, there have been earlier live performances of Raw Power too. Their first live performance of Raw Power was in a concert that took place on November 7, 2009, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. However in this performance there was added material from Raw Power and several of Pop's early solo albums to its repertoire. This was the first ever Raw Power live performance after Pop announced in an interview in May 2009 that the band's plans to continue performing with James Williamson returning as guitarist.
